Planetarnoe festival Issyk-Kul Lake
5th July : Travelled on to Tocor Yurt village on the south shore of Issyk-Kul.
6th – 8th July : Planetarnoe festival. Each morning Candida and I collaborated with Jusup & Zalina. Worked on Jews-Harp Quartet, Khakhas Echoes, Morin Khuur/Kyl Kiyak Duo, Eva’s Tune/Tizgin Kuu. We performed two evening concerts, ran Tibetan Singing Bowl and Khöömii (Mongolia Overtone Singing) workshops, recorded four pieces with sound recordist Victor for a proposed demo for future work and led a Tibetan Singing Bowl and Gong meditation sound journey. There was also a visit to a museum of felt where we were fed and performed and a visit to a sheperds Boz-ooi.
