Publicity shots for his Chandman Song CD

Tserendavaa CD recording Mongolia 2000

Tserendavaa was keen to make a recording for a proposed CD. Michael brought his minidisc recorder with him for this purpose.

So one day we set up in his Ger and made the recordings and took a few ‘publicity shots. The end result is the CD Chandman Song.

Chandman’ Song became the first CD dedicated to Tserendavaa’s Khöömii. You can hear Tserendavaa Khöömiilokh traditional Mongolian melodies in his six styles of Khöömii, including his unique Hosmoljin Khöömii, which is a combination of singing words and overtones at the same time! He accompanies himself on the Morin Khuur (Horse head fiddle), the Tobshuur (2 string west Mongolian fretless lute) and metal & bamboo mouth harps.
